The Building Sustainable Communities grant helps build thriving sustainable communities that provide a high quality of life for Manitobans. The grant leverages investments in community development by local governments, non-profit organizations and others.
Building Sustainable Communities provides a grant contribution of 50 per cent of eligible project costs up to $75,000 and up to $300,000 for large capital projects. Eligible applicants include non-profit organizations, charitable organizations, municipalities and Northern Affairs community councils
Corporations participating in the Community Enterprise Development Tax Credit Program (CEDTC) must submit an Annual Subscription Proceeds Report. Elements include documenting the use and impact of Subscription Proceeds received in the taxation year, the number and type of jobs created, the value of assets acquired and the number of new investors.
Corporations participating in the Community Enterprise Development Tax Credit Program (CEDTC) must complete an Annual Share and Tax Credit Receipt Issuance Report verifying the name, address and Social Insurance Number of eligible investors, as well as the number and class of shares issued, the total amount paid by the Investor and the amount of the Tax Credit issued.

The Community Festivals and Events program provides rural and northern communities with operating grants towards organizing a festival that takes place over a minimum of two days.
