Clean Environment Commission

The Clean Environment Commission is a quasi-judicial body who investigates and makes recommendations on large-scale environmental issues, usually at the request of the Minister. When warranted by public concern, the Commission holds public hearings to gather information to receive evidence and hear representations concerning licensing under the Environment Act.
