Marriage licence

A marriage license is valid anywhere in Manitoba. The licence must be obtained no more than three (3) months before the wedding date and no later than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the ceremony. The couple must both be present and at least eighteen (18) years of age when the license is issued. Proof of age must be shown to the Marriage License Issuer. Divorced persons must produce their Certificate of Divorce or Decree Absolute. Widowers or widows must produce a death certificate. No blood test is required in Manitoba.
