A Permit to Burn is subject to conditions and provisions of The Wildfires Act and authorizes the permittee to set fire and burn stubble, grass, brush, etc. and to keep it under control, fireguard the area, have responsible persons and suppression equipment present, and extinguish the fire after the identified period of time.  It specifies the permittee is responsible for all property damages that may result and the wind conditions (under 20km) under which burning is allowed.
