The Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) Program is for child care assistants (CCAs) with post-secondary credentials from foreign countries or from programs which are not accredited by the Child Care Qualifications and Training Committee. These CCAs also have substantial experience working with children and families.

This manual is a resource for the participant, as well as the assessment team. It provides information about the program and identifies the requirements and expectations of the program.

The report is printed from the Educational Information System (EIS) Collection, which lists pupils coded as requiring specially equipped vehicles.  School divisions are required to describe the special equipment (e.g. wheelchair, walker, crutches, etc.) related to a pupil's mobility impairment to verify that the pupil requires transportation in a specially equipped vehicle and submit the completed form to the Schools Finance Branch.

This policy provides financial support for refresher courses for experienced individuals previously educated as registered nurses, registered psychiatric nurses, and licensed practical nurses. Nurses Recruitment and Retention Fund funding is provided in exchange for a 12-month return of service commitment. This policy applies to Nurses, Psychiatric Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses. This policy is overseen by the Nurses Recruitment and Retention Fund Committee.

Rural and Northern School Division may access funding to establish a local bursary to assist in the recruitment and retention of specialized professional staff in hard to fill geographic areas. The bursary funding is available to assist with training in speech-language pathology, psychology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy or other specialty areas such as interpreter tutors. There is an expectation that individuals agree to enter into a Return of Service Agreement with the school division.
Instructions related to the review, development and implementation of policies and procedures by school divisions to ensure the optimal use of public school facilities by school and community users to support the educational, recreational, social and cultural programming that can be offered during school hours as well as outside the regular instructional day.
