The Provincial Arts Organizations Operating Support program provides non-profit provincial arts organizations with annual operating grants in support of the development, administration and coordination of community arts and cultural development activities at the provincial level.  The program supports the continuing development of infrastructure for arts and cultural activity in Manitoba, assisting provincial organizations in the provision of a wide range of programs and services to local/regional community arts groups.

The Publisher Project Support program assists Manitoba publishers with the costs of a single project that will increase their company's efficiency, productivity and/or overall financial viability.  This includes professional skills development, feasibility studies or research, magazine redesign or upgrade, magazine special issues, and magazine marketing initiatives.  Priority is given to projects that are part of a long-term company business plan.  This program is offered in two streams:

  • Book publishers
  • Magazine publishers

The Urban Art Centres Operating Support program provides financial assistance to established community-based not-for-profit arts and cultural organizations delivering arts-based programming in any of the arts disciplines to targeted (underserved or underrepresented) (high-need/high-risk) urban communities in Manitoba that have little or no capacity for revenue generation or direct cost recovery through program delivery.  These organizations offer arts-based programs that: help to nourish personal and social development; contribute to healthy lifestyles in safe environments; and provide opportunities for targeted individuals to be engaged citizens and to play active roles in community revitalization.
