The Building Sustainable Communities grant helps build thriving sustainable communities that provide a high quality of life for Manitobans. The grant leverages investments in community development by local governments, non-profit organizations and others.

Building Sustainable Communities provides a grant contribution of 50 per cent of eligible project costs up to $75,000 and up to $300,000 for large capital projects. Eligible applicants include non-profit organizations, charitable organizations, municipalities and Northern Affairs community councils

This form must be completed in full in order to meet the requirement of notifying the Director of Child and Family Services of abuse allegations, per The Child and Family Services Act, Section 18(6) " Where an agency receives information that a child was or might have been abused by a person who provides work for or services to the agency or to a child care facility or other place where a child has been placed by the agency, the agency shall, in addition to carrying out its duties under subsection 18.4(1) and section 18.5, immediately report the matter to the director and the director shall investigate the matter and take such further steps as are required by this Act, prescribed by regulation, or as the director considers necessary.  This is an internal form that is filled out by agencies when reported abuse allegations.

All businesses engaged in child performer recruitment are required to have a licence from the Employment Standards Branch before they can audition, scout or recruit a child. This licence isvalid for one year and must be renewed annually. Use this application form to renew a Child Talent Agency Business/Child Performer Recruitment licence.

-         The website provides information about the program criteria which includes information on program priorities, eligible and non-eligible organizations, projects and employees, amount of funding available, reporting requirements and the claim reimbursement process.  There is also information for students/youth about employment through the Green Team programs.

     Green Team grants create summer employment opportunities for youth aged 15 to 29 years. Approved Applicants provide a variety of community development projects that improve neighbourhoods, promote community involvement and help develop young leaders.  The employment period is between May 1 and September 30.

Priorities for the 2022 summer season are focused on: community based organizations and municipal governments that can offer full-time employment opportunities for youth; projects that support COVID-19 response and recovery efforts; and projects that can demonstrate community need and partnerships.
