Receiving a Report of Abuse or Neglect
This policy directs the procedures of The Protection for Persons in Care Office (PPCO), under the authority of The Protection for Persons in Care Act (the Act) related to its receipt and response to reports of alleged abuse and neglect of patients. This policy is applicable to hospital, personal care home or institution or organization designated under The Health Services Insurance Act. This policy is enforced by Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living.
