This policy establishes routine procedures for investigation of a report of abuse of neglect. The policy is applicable to the patient (alleged victim) or committee for the patient, the facility management and staff, anyone who may have information regarding the incident, The Protection for Persons in Care Office (PPCO) as delegated by the Minister of Health, Seniors and Active Living. This policy is enforced by Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living.
