The Interprovincial Health Insurance Agreements Coordinating Committee oversees the Reciprocal Hospital and Reciprocal Medical bilateral agreements. In relation to some cancer chemotherpay drugs hospitals may bill an outpatient visit fee plus the actual acquisition cost of the drugs. Prior approval must be obtained for drugs over $3,000.
